Check In/Pickup Location Details

  • Parking is available directly from across the Greek Theatre. Please double check signs for any parking restrictions.
    Since Griffith Park and The Greek Theatre are quite popular, parking will be difficult.
    On Greek Theatre event dates, taking a ride sharing service and/or public transportation is highly recommended.
    If you do drive, please park outside of the park (near Franklin & Vermont and take the Dash Bus to the Greek Theatre). Parking inside the park is generally not available or is heavily restricted, especially for the Sunset hike.
    Please note:
    The Greek Theatre is closed between November and April and parking is plentiful during that time.

    Here's how:
    Type in the address where you’re staying in the “A-Starting from” field and The Greek Theatre Box Office address (2700 North Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027) in the “B-Ending At” field. Complete the “When” Module by filling out the time you’d like to arrive and the “Preferences” module -the public transit you’d prefer (Bus or Rail). Click the blue “Find Trips” button and you’re all set. Metro Trip Planner will offer you the most appropriate public transit options.
    If you choose to travel via mass transit, both Google Maps and Apple Maps include public transportation options for the greater Los Angeles area and can aid you to navigate directly to the meeting point.
    If you're using GPS, just type the words "Greek Theater" rather than the physical address for the most effective search result. Make sure that the drop-off point is at The Greek Theater Box Office and NOT at the Observatory. You'll know that you've arrive at the Greek Theater Box Office if there is a giant LED screen above it promoting upcoming events at the Greek Theater.

Restrictions

  • Guests must be able to comfortably walk upwards for 2.5 hours.
  • Guests should not have serious fear of heights (acrophobia).
  • Guests must be able to walk for 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers).
  • Guests should be in good health, with a beginner to intermediate fitness expectation.
  • Children participating in the hiking tour should be able to hike on their own. No strollers are allowed during the activity.

  • The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
  • Gratuity is not included in the price.
  • Complimentary parking available.
  • It is highly recommended to have a hearty breakfast and stretching prior to check-in.
  • Tour departs from the Greek Theater Box Office in Griffith Park, not from the West Hollywood location.
  • No strollers are allowed on this tour.

  • Participants are required to sign a liability waiver at the time of check-in.
  • Minors are required to have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver.
  • Please call the activity provider 24 hours before your activity to reconfirm your booking. Your voucher has the necessary contact information listed.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes earlier for check-in as the activity provider will not wait for latecomers. The tour will begin on time.

Hike to the top of one of the highest peaks in Griffith Park for a stunning and unforgettable view of the Los Angeles skyline. Your local guide will lead you on a 3.5-mile hiking experience while telling you Hollywood History tales, film trivia, and recommendations of the best LA places.

Hollywood Sign Overlook & Griffith Observatory
After witnessing the stunning panoramic views from the summit, head over to an overlook for an Instagram-worthy shot of the legendary Hollywood Sign. Then, proceed to the Griffith Observatory for some scenic views.
